Gordon Gimple played on Minto Cup championship teams in 1954 and 1956 before graduating to senior.

One of the few players who was effective shooting from either side, he scored 54' goals and 417 assists in his eleven-year career. He was the winner of the Maitland Trophy a record-breaking 6 times and a member of the all-star team on eight different occasions.

He completed his career as coach of the Adanacs of Coquitlam, British Columbia and Portland, Oregon.
