1991 Dorothy Robertson 406 Dorothy Robertson was born and raised in New Westminster, she started her involvement with lacrosse in 1944 as a fan.

She volunteered to the position of secretary with the British Columbia Lacrosse Association in 1968, a position she held until 1995. She also served as secretary to the Western Lacrosse Association and the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

Dorothy was an avid fan and enthusiastic supporter of lacrosse in all its many aspects and was the first woman to be inducted to the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Following her untimely death in 1995, a memorial plaque was installed in her honour in the southwest corner of New Westminster's Queen's Park Arena - marking it as Dorothy's Seat.

Out of respect for her contribution to the revival of Women¹s lacrosse in British Columbia, the National Women¹s trophy was rededicated in her name in 198'.
