Bun Clark was a native of Fergus Ontario and got his start as goalkeeper in that city.

He played with the Toronto Tecumsehs before being lured west by Con Jones to play for the Vancouver, British Columbia, Club.

He later played with the famed New Westminster Salmonbellies Club and was rated one of the all-time great goalies.
